Ernesto d’Aloja

Ernesto is a full professor in legal forensics (MED43) at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery in the University of Cagliari. He is also is Director of the School of Specialization in Legal Forensics at the same university.
Ernesto was nominated director of the University Department for Public Health, Clinical and Molecular Health at the University of Cagliari for a three-year period 2011-2014 and 2014-2017.
Ernesto is a member of the Italian Society for Pediatrics (SIP) “Working Group on Clinical Risk” and a member of the Italian Society of Neonatology (SIN) as well as being a medical forensics consultant for several National Scientific Societies.
He is author of more than 140 publications (I.F: >114) in national and international scientific journals in the areas of forensic genetics, professional medical liability, pathology, forensic toxicology and bioethics.
He is a member of the Italian Society for Legal Forensics (SIMLA), the Italian Forensic Pathology Group (GIPF) and the International Society of Forensic Genetics (ISFG).
He is a past-president of the Italian Genetic Forensics group (Ge.F.I.), a working group created under the auspices of SIMLA.
